Furniture pieces and cabinetry of various types and sizes can be painted to look old, or newer, a different kind of wood, with faux marble or stone, painted with embellishments, or metallic or gilding can be added. A kitchen or bathroom cabinet can be updated from the original look by adding an aging glaze or by completely repainting the surface.
